Tired of texting.

What's happening in communication? A while back I realize people don't even answer phone calls any more. Voice mail became personal call center, the facility that wastes time yet solves any problem. More and more txt plans flowing all over the news while people reportedly getting thumb soreness and mental disorder because of over texting and twittering.

The process of waiting text response is such an weird and complex mental dilemma. Didn't the person get my message? Will the spelling cause any misunderstanding? Txt linguals. Txt dicts. What kinda interesting goodies emerge as the txt trend decompose to every moment of outlives.

Don't people know that when they send a message, the recipient doesn't get it the moment the message is send. The message is put in a queue in the data center with millions of other messages sent by other people. It's like waiting in line in a bank. Interesting uh. The difference is in a data center, the dealer works million times faster.

Text messages don't have emotion although you can txt emotion via emonicon like : D or :(. But in what degree? Does : D mean I am just happy? or so happy to the point I am rolling on the floor because the expression is horizontal?

I am guilty in this argument. I prefer texting for it allows me to think carefully about what I have to say before I "say" it. Especially to someone important. Yet I don't like waiting for response although sometime it takes me over night to response a message. Simply because I didn't want to deal with it at the moment. How irresponsible is that?

I should just start calling again. I can learn to speak more carefully but there is nothing I can do to shorten the waiting for txt response as it's completely up to the other person. So let's call 2011 the year of evolution of communication. Although calling is more a backward evolution of communication.
