Ananda Fest

Ananda Fest 2

Ananda Fest is an on going project that will eventually become a community fundraiser to support various non-profit orgs, programs/services and give back to community.

The Ananda Fest (http://www.anandafest.com, http://www.anandafest.ca) site is a mash up of web apps due to the short timeline I was given. The system tights event registration, online marketing and social media together as a whole, yet decentralizes the services to be handled by well developed and well maintained high quality web apps such as Mailchimp and Paypal.

The site is a completely makeover of Drupal 6. Very heavy on the custom theming to deliver what the client demands. Thanks for the flexibility of Drupal's theming system. With the power of jQuery UI and jQuery Cycle, the site makes a big impact to user experience in a small space.

Thinkfit Screencap Backend

I know Brent, the owner of Thinkfitness Studio and a fitness coach, via one of the trainers in his studio who is also a friend of mine. Brent explains to me about his thoughts of having a more robust website to replace the existing site and his vision of how the new website will be a key role of his overall strategy. The biggest challenge for this project is to get the new site up and running in a short timeline. Although all communication takes place in the cyberspace via email, we manage to layout the road map and execute it phrase by phrase successfully.

There are many role models that inspire me, and April Ware the owner of Classic Elegance is one of them.

She started Classic Elegance a wedding invite design business during one of the toughest times in our history, the recession started in 2008. The recession has not been over as I type. The site has transferred from a simple Flash movie clip into a interactive system that lets its audiences to create custom wedding invitations online and place an order.
